Job Designation

The Senior Maintenance Technician maintains and repairs assigned manufacturing related equipment throughout the facility in accordance with standard procedures, internal requirements, manufacturer's specifications and safety policies. Performs complex skilled work across multiple-functions and operations of the preventive maintenance system. 

Job Core Responsibilities

  •  Performs maintenance, service and repairs of a complex nature on assigned equipment or systems, including CNC machine controls and troubleshooting. 
  •   Follows detailed operational instructions, procedures and blueprints while conducting maintenance activities.
  •  Oversees the preventive maintenance system including scheduling of activities and provides required reports. 
  •  Determines preventative maintenance requirements for new equipment and trains equipment operators to perform routine maintenance.
  •  Develops and documents standard work procedures for various maintenance tasks. 
  •  Maintains a safe and effective work area/environment; using appropriate personal protective and safety equipment.
  •  Supports the Facilities Function as needed including SAP requisitions and contractor management. 
  •  Other responsibilities as assigned
  •  Consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours to support business needs. 

Job Specifications

Education: Minimum of a high school diploma/equivalent or combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations. Vocational training/certification or Associate's degree in Electronic Technology/Maintenance is preferred. 

Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field.

Year's Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience. Experience in Electronic or CNC equipment repair is preferred.  

Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of industrial electronic controls, electromechanical and mechanical systems
  • Proficient in recognizing and solving complex problems from established operating procedures and/or scientific methods
  • Able to read and interpret documents, schematics and blueprints
  • Ability to work within a team environment and adapt to changes in work requirements
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to act as back-up supervisor in Maintenance and Carbon Operations
  • Computer usage including Microsoft suite, SAP and computerized maintenance management database
