Job Designation
The Human Resources Manager leads the Human Resources Team and partners with Leadership to ensure People Strategies align with business objectives. Leads and coordinates all efforts to positively impact team member engagement/culture. Designs, implements, and monitors a variety of people programs. Anticipates and plans for long-term HR needs and trends in partnership with management teams. Ensures programs are aligned with legal requirements and the company's strategic goals.
Job Core Responsibilities
• Guides and manages the Human Resources Team in delivering services, policies, and programs
• Ensures day-to-day HR operations functions efficiently and effectively
• Partners with employees and management to communicate various Human Resources policies, procedures, standards and government laws/regulations
• Leads the development of department goals and objectives, while providing leadership for Human Resources strategic planning
• Oversees the implementation of a wide variety of Human Resources programs (Talent, Employee and Leadership development, Coaching and Mentoring, Diversity and Inclusion, High Performance Culture, Compensation frameworks, etc.), identifying opportunities for improvement and making recommendations
• Leads the implementation of the performance management system that includes performance development plans, talent review process, succession planning and employee development programs
• In partnership with Parker Meggitt’s Center of Excellence, establishes and leads standard hiring and onboarding practices and procedures necessary to recruit and hire a superior workforce
• Determines and recommends employee relations practices and ensures investigations are conducted on employee complaints or concerns in a timely and comprehensive manner
• Ensures activities align and integrate with the company's requirements for quality management, health and safety, and legal compliance
• Leads and directs work for team of employees as defined by business needs
• Manages direct staff, performance reviews, development and training processes to ensure team competencies and capabilities reach the business goals and expectations
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
• Analyzes and evaluates data and reports, and presents results to relevant managers and advises on changes and/or improvements. Responsible for maintaining data for all monthly report outs.

Job Specifications
Education: Bachelor degree required
Years’ Experience: 8-10 years of relevant HR experience; experience working in a union environment required
Skills:
• Experience leading HR teams in a manufacturing/industrial environment
• Experience working in lean manufacturing environments
• Knowledge and experience in building strong partnerships cross-functional leaders
• Confidence and courage to lead “out in front” to influence leaders
• Must epitomize the consummate team player
• Knowledge and experience with Organizational Design optimization
• Knowledge and experience in managing human resource programs, processes, administrative procedures and compliance with government laws/regulations as appropriate for the business location
• Effective interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential information/situations and documentation
• Ability to work strategically without compromising a strong attention to detail, good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize with changing situations
• Ability to Identify and resolve technical, operational and organizational problems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
• Above average computer skills while working in multiple systems, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Positive employee relations experience
• A positive, can-do attitude and approach
• PHR/SPHR certification is desirable
