Job Designation

The Senior Financial Analyst position is a key member of the MBS finance team. In this capacity they will be responsible for providing key financial information and analysis to support management’s ability to make smart and strategic business decisions. This role will work alongside a cross functional team with a continuous improvement mindset to establish, modify, document and coordinate key financial requirements and deliverables. They will identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions in order to make recommendations for strategic paths forward to attain company goals. They will be held accountable for meeting corporate deadlines, adhering to company financial practices and policies, and effectively communicating with all levels within the organizational structure.

Job Core Responsibilities
  • Pricing Support
    • Support day-to-day pricing inquiries for both internal and external customers
    • Responsible for updating pricing in all internal systems and enforce compliance with established business processes and procedures
    • Partner with engineering to support financials in support of Stranger quotes
  • Program Management Controlling
    • Partner with Program Management function to support internal program reviews and customer requests
    • Provide support for impairment analysis and modeling
  • Capex Controlling
    • Prepare analysis of capital expenditures.
    • Complete new business investment analyses including impact and project evaluation
    • Analyze and formulate expenditure plans and monitor actual expenditures versus budgets.
  • Business Controlling
    • Prepares, analyzes and reports out on FOC (Free of Charge) requirements for the business
    • Provide a detailed analysis of a wide range of varying special project assignments.
    • Analyze and interpret contractual language for accounting requirements and compliance.
  • Accounting & Controlling Process Support
    • Participate in the preparation of weekly, monthly, and annual revenue and margin forecasting reports and provide analysis
    • Participate in the formulation and analysis of the financial data used to guide operations; participate in the advance development and analysis of policy geared toward the refinement of financial management techniques.
    • Support closing activities as required


Job Specifications

Education: Post-Secondary Degree in Finance or Accounting is required. Master's Degree preferred.   
Years Experience:  Minimum five years of professional financial analysis experience.


  • Strong research and analysis skills acquired through related work experience in increasingly complex roles
  • Proficient with accounting processes, procedure and internal controls
  • Skillful at MS Office, including strong Excel skills including V-lookup, pivot tables, and filtering functions
  • Experience with SAP the ERP solution a plus
  • Comfortable with creation and manipulation of large data bases
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to negotiate and influence, while exercising sensitivity to the audience
  • Ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently
  • Able to build consensus across multiple organizations
