Job Designation

Responsible for developing technically sound and marketable products using imaginative, thorough, and practicable solutions.

Job Core Responsibilities

Provides technical expertise in the layout of complex multilayer circuit boards used in aerospace products.  Works collectively with external resources as workload demand changes.

Responsible for helping the company move forward with industry standards and practices.

Key contributor in evaluating and recommending tools, processes and procedures needed to keep MABS as a leader in Aerospace brake control systems development.

Layout printed circuit boards from detailed electrical schematics and detailed mechanical drawings.

Perform parts placement, route circuit boards and provide all required circuit board drawings using Altium design tools.

Manage and maintain components used in past and current designs.

Interface with EMI and circuit design engineers’ to provide a robust circuit board layout.

Conform to department design requirements and IPC standards specifications for printed circuit boards, drafting practices and procedures.

Job Specifications

Education: 

BSEE and 3+ years performing circuit board layouts or BSET and 5+ years performing circuit board layouts.

 

Years Experience: 3+ years performing circuit board layouts (BSEE) or 5+ years performing circuit board layouts (BSET).

Skills:

  • Electrical CAD package experience required
  • Familiarity with IPC class 3 designs.
  • Working knowledge of Altium circuit board layout tools desirable.
  • Good planning, organizational, leadership, decision-making skills.
  • Excellent ability to apply a systematic and analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to explain a range of complex technical information.
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to drive tasks to completion.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and database management tools.
