Across its five product groups, Airframe Systems produces a host of world leading technology. Our Braking Systems product group supplies both military and commercial aircrafts.

We seal essential spaces, such as landing gear, wings, engines, nacelles, windows and doors, and produce intelligent air data systems and sensors that measure altitude, angle or acceleration. These sensors can be used on planes, train control systems or even missile control systems.

Job Designation

The Global Quality Director is responsible for the establishing and deploying the highly effective and comprehensive Quality Control plan for our Aircraft Braking Systems, including Customer Quality, Manufacturing Quality and Supplier Quality functions.  Duties include coordinating Quality Engineering and establishing and maintaining state-of-the art Quality support systems which promote continuous improvement of the Company’s products and manufacturing and business processes.  The systems established and maintained must assure that safe, producible, quality products are manufactured, sourced and distributed to our aerospace customers.  All of this activity must be accomplished in an International environment and must be coordinated within the Company’s business systems and processes.

Job Core Responsibilities

•    Establish and direct the Quality System and Quality organization in compliance with customer and regulatory requirements to effectively protect the customers and company from the adverse effects and liabilities of non-conformance.
•    Maintain an efficient and effective Quality System certified and approved to ISO9001 and AS9100 across all company operational sites.
•    Ensure Quality Engineering involvement throughout the life cycle of aircraft platforms.  
•    Administer an effective supplier quality assurance and development program. 
•    Establish and maintain manufacturing quality systems and controls to minimize defective material in an efficient, cost effective manner. Emphasis placed on continuous improvement. This requires deployment and maintenance of these systems across the company’s manufacturing footprint.
•    Provide visibility of performance and drive improvement through quality metrics. Achieve an organization-wide Quality culture by integrating quality and improvement mentality to manufacturing and other business processes.
•    Utilize audit function to evaluate compliance requirements, identify areas requiring corrective action and opportunities for improvement. 
•    This position must “embrace” Continuous Improvement.  Provide coaching and oversight to achieve best practices in the company’s manufacturing facilities and other business processes. (Kaizen, 5S, and Look Forward practices). 
•    Accountable to perform expected tasks within the established budgets.
•    Establish and maintain an organization capable of adapting to a dynamic business and manufacturing environment focused on continuous improvement, good communication, professionalism and efficiency.

Job Specifications

Education:  Bachelor degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Science, Mathematics or related technical discipline; Master degree preferred. 
Years’ Experience: 10 years’ experience as a Quality professional in a machining and assembly manufacturing environment, preferably in aerospace or automotive industry
Skills:
•    Working knowledge of Government (Military), Regulatory (FAA, EASA) and ISO/AS Quality system requirements.  Technical proficiency in Quality and continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment are required in addition to management skills.
•    Trained in Statistical Process Control (SPC), Eight Disciplines Problem Solving (8D) and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) concepts and application.
•    Experience as a Lead Auditor.
•    Candidate must possess good communication skills and have the ability to train employees and effectively communicate ideas to others.
