Across its five product groups, Airframe Systems produces a host of world leading technology. Our Braking Systems product group supplies both military and commercial aircrafts.

We seal essential spaces, such as landing gear, wings, engines, nacelles, windows and doors, and produce intelligent air data systems and sensors that measure altitude, angle or acceleration. These sensors can be used on planes, train control systems or even missile control systems.

Job Designation

The Contracts Manager will support low dollar value contracts, including active participation in proposal preparation; negotiation of price, schedule, terms and conditions, etc.; administration of contract from inception through close-out.

Job Core Responsibilities

•    Review RFPs and issue cost estimate requests, prepare and submit quotations to customer for “follow-on” products.
•    Negotiate price, terms and conditions, delivery, etc. with customer.
•    Review resultant contract and obtain assistance as necessary from the Legal department, then route the document for management review and signature.
•    Administer the contract to ensure DSD compliance, and initiate internal paperwork such as MOs, Shippers, and Billing Change Notices.
•    Prepare and submit reports to management as required.
•    Receive, review, and enter purchase orders into the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
•    Manage customer accounts by serving as the primary point of contact for the customers’ buyers and supply chain personnel; this includes organizing and leading (non-sales) operational calls, meetings and visits to Meggitt’s facilities.
•    Track and reconcile internal and external customer score cards, which includes verification of the metrics by which Meggitt is judged.
•    Collaborate directly with the Finance function, including Shared Service teams, to manage and reduce accounts receivables.
•    Upon receipt of orders for “out-of-production” products, gather the information necessary to prepare a quotation, which includes pricing, production lead time, terms and conditions.
•    Deliver quotations to customers and coordinate with various functional leaders to ensure questions are answered until the order is received or the opportunity is closed as lost.
•    Monitor and actively manage customer portals to ensure prices, quantities, lead times and contract terms are acceptable in accordance with authority delegated by appropriate functional leaders (i.e., Finance, Commercial, and Operations)
•    Utilize business systems, including CRM, portal management and work flow tools, to expedite the process of receiving, reviewing, responding and booking orders.
•    Resolve customer complaints, which may include warranty, delivery, or quantity disputes, at the lowest level and in the most beneficial manner for Meggitt.
•    Attend Daily Layered Accountability meetings and collaborate closely with Finance, Operations, Sales, Planning, and Procurement personnel to communicate changes to demand, assist with production forecasting and convey information to and from customers.

Job Specifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
Years’ Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the administration of contracts
Skills:
•    Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures
•    Ability to research and analyze data effectively; ability to gather data, to compile information, and prepare reports
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as presentation skills
•    Ability to influence stakeholders
•    Excellent customer service orientation; track record of building and maintaining customer/client relationships 
•    Well-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task
•    Ability to work independently and prioritize duties with minimal supervision, in order to meet deadlines
•    Ability to visualize and plan objectives and goals strategically
•    Conflict management skills; decision making skills
•    Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web browsers
•    Knowledge of computerized information systems used in financial and/or accounting applications
