Job Designation
The Business Development Manager will plan, direct and coordinate Wheel, Brake and ATA32 Control and Monitoring System Business Development activities in order to obtain new business, retain existing business, and meet profit and growth objectives in the assigned business areas.
Job Core Responsibilities
• Provide a focal point between Parker Meggitt Aircraft Braking Systems and the customer to establish and maintain good customer relations.
• Ascertain current state of, and anticipate changes to, the marketplace and competitive forces to identify business opportunities and threats.
• Lead and direct the preparation and presentation of proposals.
• Collaborate with Contract Management in establishing contract terms that are in the best interests of Parker Meggitt.
• Work closely with Program Management and Contract Administration organizations on quotations and the resolution of commercial issues.
• Influence research and development efforts based upon market opportunities and needs.
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
• Moderate travel is required.
Job Specifications
Education: Bachelor degree required; Engineering preferred.
Years’ Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in technical sales, support or engineering related to Aircraft Wheels and Brakes and/or ATA32 Control and Monitoring.
Skills:
• Thorough understanding and expertise in business development
• Proven consultative selling skills to develop attractive value propositions
• Strong leadership and effective interpersonal skills
• Ability to solve complex problems, taking a new perspective on existing solutions and exercising judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and database management tools
