Job Designation

The SAP PP/MM Specialist plans and coordinates efforts to support effective & efficient material processes from the initial material proposal through the completion of production with the objective of identifying opportunities to better meet customer on-time deliveries while maximizing inventory turns.

Job Core Responsibilities
  • Serves as the SAP SME for day-to-day support of SAP-PP materials, inventory and operations. This would include scheduling, production order planning, bill of materials, routings, Master Data, MRP, lot-sizing, etc.
  • Assesses and evaluate existing system (SAP) and business processes to identify improvements & solutions in order to ensure customer requirements are effectively met.
  • Trains users on processes, procedures and systems.
  • Works with the Planning & Purchasing Teams to drive improvements in scheduling, inventory turns, and On-Time Delivery.
  • Maintains surveillance over all materials & WIP according to established procedures
  • Identifies roadblocks to continuous improvement opportunities and work with Business Unit Management to resolve
  • Supports activities across the organization and establishes appropriate KPI’s for measuring performance.
  • Ensures general safety and compliance with relevant regulations and company requirements
Job Specifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectation

Certification: Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience int field


  • Working knowledge and 5+ years’ experience in SAP-PP & MM.
  • Well versed in the areas of Material Requirements Planning, manufacturing scheduling & execution, capacity planning, Kanban, etc.
  • Able to work on complex issues where analysis of situations and data collections is required
  • Effective interpersonal, written and verbal skills to drive tasks to completion
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools.
  • Ability to work independently or in a Team Environment, while effectively interacting with others.
