Job Designation

The Engineer II, Test provides a range of expertise in setting-up and conducting quality testing. Ensures high quality development of Meggitt products/components throughout the development process

Job Core Responsibilities

  • Provides significant expertise in setting up and conducting a range of product development tests
  • Coordinates test labs, equipment and scheduling
  • Performs qualification testing to ensure products/systems meet design specs
  • Provides analysis of designs to ensure that product(s) can handle potential stress caused by typical and extreme usage
  • Conducts functional operation and testing on electronic equipment
  • Performs analysis and troubleshooting to determine root cause analysis
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary
     

Job Specifications

Education : Post-secondary degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations
Years Experience : 3 - 5 years of relevant experience
Skills : 

  • Applies a systematic and analytical approach to solving problems
  • Ability to interpret internal/external business challenges and make recommendations for improvements to products, processes or services
  • Understands and experienced with test requirements, scheduling and efficiency
  • Excellent ability to communicate difficult concepts and negotiate well with others
